Enfermería en Cardiología publishes original articles, reviews, case reports, opinion and updating papers about all the fields of cardiology care that contribute to spread the scientific knowledge on cardiological nursing.
Authors who wish to publish in our journal will have to follow and to consider the following instructions based on the requirements of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE):
1. Submitting manuscripts. All the manuscripts must be addressed to the Asociación Española de Enfermería en Cardiología (AEEC) headquaters: Asociación Española de Enfermería en Cardiología, c/ Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, 5-7, E-28028 Madrid, Spain. Attached to them, there must be a presentation letter directed to the attention of the journal director, in which you will have to ask for a revison of the research in order to be published, with the authors data and the address of the main author or the correspondence responsible.
The original manuscript, with three quality copies, must be included, with the text typed on informatic support (diskette or CD-ROM), using your text processor.
No paper can published (a) if it is published already on any other scientific journal, (b) if it has been submitted simultaneouly to any other scientific journal, or (c) if it is being reviewed by any other scientific journal.
All the accepted manuscripts will remain permanently under the property of the Asociación Española de Enfermería en Cardiología. The manuscritps may be submitted also by e-mail to: dir@enfermeriaencardiologia.com.
2. Manuscript requirements. They must be original manuscripts, double-space typed on a white one-sided DIN-A4 paper, with a maximum of 12 sheets of paper, numbered on the top right side, and upper and lower margins of 2,5 cm.
The cover of the manuscript will include the title in capital letters, authors' name, academic degree, their position and the institution to which each author belong, and the year in which the research was finished.
3. Types of articles. The writing of the manuscript would be structured as follows:
Originals: Introduction,
material and methods, results, discussion, conclusion,
and bibliography.
Clinical Cases: Introduction, clinical observation, discussion,
and bibliography
Reviews: Introduction, subject description, and bibliography.
Others: You must consult to the director of the journal.
All the manuscripts will enclose an abstract (less than 250 words), that reference the essential points and the most significant aspects of the article. This abstract will be written in Spanish and in English.
Under the abstract, you must write three to eight key words (written in Spanish and in English), that identify the content of the articles and facilitate their inclusion in the repertoires and bibliographical databases.
4. Bibliographical references. The bibliographical references will be numbered according to the order in which they appear in the text, tables and figures, following the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). You can see the "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals" (Updated October 2004), of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
5. Publishing Process. The Editorial Board of the journal reserves the right to reject those originals which are not judged as appropiate and to propose any modification if necessary.
The Editorial Board is not responsible for the content of the articles nor necessarily shares any of the opinions expressed by any of the authors of the published articles.
Those manuscripts which are not accepted will be returned to the authors, either suggesting the required modifications to be published or notifying its definite non acceptance.
