Abstract |
The clinical quality improvement has the challenge of the pain treatment in the postsurgical pain in cardiac surgery. The patients, if their state allows it, have to evaluate the intensity of the pain, and the nursing care have to reduce the pain or eliminate the pain with technical, pharmacologic and human resources. The method of pain evaluation must be simple, reproducible, universal and easy to record, so that it does not suppose inconvenience for the patient or additional work charges for the nurse. Doctors, nurses and patients would have to participate in multidisciplinary teams that research on the clinical practice in the pain treatment after cardiac surgery. |
